Booking Policy By booking a lesson, you are reserving a dedicated time slot with one of our professional instructors.

Enrolments & Payments

  • Advance Payments: All students must maintain a balance of at least one lesson payment in advance at all times.
  • Billing Cycles: Payments may be made in blocks of 5 or 10 lessons.
  • Automatic Renewal: Booking Terms are continually rolling over and will continue until a formal termination notice is provided.
  • Payment Methods: We accept card or bank transfers. Please note that card payments incur a 1.6-1.8% merchant fee.
  • Duration: Fees are based on the agreed-upon duration (30/45/60 mins). No discounts are provided for late arrivals or early departures.
  • Casual Lessons: Periodic lessons may only be booked up to one week in advance & will be billed at the “Casual Rate”. Fixed weekly time slots are reserved exclusively for regular students.
  • Refunds: No refunds are issued for cancellations made during a bulk payment cycle or for fixed-length lesson blocks other programs, such as workshops, band programs, or group lessons.
  • PLEASE NOTE: any/all new potential booking enquiries, wanting your booking day/time do get turned away, due to your timeslot being booked, paid for in advance & being locked out exclusively for you.

Cancellations & Make-up Lessons

  • All missed lessons must be paid for.
  • 9am Rule: Cancellations must be made NO LATER than 9am of the lesson day in order to be granted a catch-up lesson. Catch-Up Lessons can only be held outside of your regular weekly booking time. Cancellations made after 9am of the lesson day, will result in a forfeit of the lesson fee & a make up lesson can not be granted.
  • Make-up Credits: You may hold a maximum of 2 make-up credits per school term (NSW Dept. Of Education Public School Calendar – Eastern Division). Credits are valid until the end of the school holidays following the missed lesson.
  • If the teacher is away, & can not facilitate the missed lesson at a mutually convenient time, you are not obligated to pay for that missed lesson, you will be issued with an extra week’s credit on your paid block.

COMMUNICATIONS:

  • All cancellations and make-up bookings must be sent via email to: in**@***********************om.au
  • Holiday & Extended Leave Holds: In some rare cases, students may be given dispensation (pending reasoning) & pause payments for periods exceeding one week (Excluding School Holidays). However, HMC must agree to this, offer the dispensation & the parent/student must confirm the return date, with that return date paid for in advance.

Media & Agreement Duration

  • Photography: Hurstville Music Centre reserves the right to use photography or video of students for promotional purposes. Please notify management in writing if you wish to opt out.
  • Termination: This is a rolling agreement. To terminate your enrollment, two weeks’ notice is required.
